MODThe Enhanced Snowmen mod enables snowballs thrown by snowmen to inflict damage and slow down hostile creatures. By default, snowballs thrown by snowmen deal 0.25 hearts of damage and freeze hit mobs for two seconds. Player-thrown snowballs do not deal damage by default. These damage and freezing mechanics allow snowmen to defend themselves against monsters. Most aspects of this mod are configurable, including an option to enable player damage.
