Copyright & Credits
Creator attribution and how to report a rights concern about a StartMod listing.
Respecting creators
Mods, addons, game artwork and other third-party materials belong to their respective rights holders. A StartMod listing does not transfer ownership or grant a licence to reproduce, modify or redistribute a project. Refer to the creator’s stated licence and download terms.
Request a correction or review
If you believe a listing contains material used without permission, incorrect attribution or a misleading link, email us with enough information to identify and review the concern.
- The StartMod URL and the specific material concerned.
- Your name and a contact email address.
- The original work or project URL and your relationship to the rights holder.
- An explanation of the issue and any supporting licence or permission information.
- The correction, attribution change or removal you are requesting.
What we can review
We can review material and links displayed on StartMod. Files hosted on another platform are controlled by that platform and its uploader; a request concerning removal of the hosted file should also be directed to that provider.
