MODDead Man's Abyss is a game mod that introduces an overworld event. This event can begin randomly after a player has visited the Nether, or by dropping blind quartz into water. During the event, the Nether and End dimensions remain unchanged. Normal mobs do not spawn, but any present will not burn. A sound system is implemented where mobs track the player based on noise; the more sound made, the wider their tracking radius becomes for the duration of the noise. Additionally, a shader makes dark areas pitch black.
