Water Erosion Mod 1.12.2–1.20.6
MODWater Erosion implements dynamic landscape changes within Minecraft, simulating real-world water erosion. Its core purpose is to make game worlds more dynamic by introducing erosion as if it were a default feature. This mod allows water to erode various blocks, creating streams, waterfalls, and altering existing terrain. It also provides a renewable source of Coarse Dirt, Sand, and Clay, fitting into the existing game mechanics without breaking gameplay. Water flowing over edges or into blocks will erode them, eventually dissolving blocks to deepen stream beds and cut river banks.

The mod's features include the erosion of blocks like sand, gravel, clay, farmland, dirt, grass, and occasionally cobblestone, with different resistances based on density. Blocks decay through a hierarchy, such as Cobblestone to Mossy Cobblestone to Gravel, or Grass Path to Grass to Dirt. Water sources can also dissolve adjacent blocks. Mossy Cobblestone and Stone Bricks can grow near water. A configuration file, available for Forge 1.14+ versions, allows enabling or disabling farmland erosion. The mod requires the Mixin framework and is called by the Minecraft runtime within a 128-block radius around the player.
