MOD

Warp Portals is a datapack designed for creating teleportation portals between chosen locations in Minecraft. This datapack is presented as balanced, simple to use, and lightweight. It supports multiplayer functionality and is built using best practices for compatibility with other datapacks. A notable feature is its method of operation, which does not utilize chunk loading, contributing to its lightweight nature regardless of the number of portals created.

To create a Warp Portal, a Portal Wand must first be forged by dropping an Ender Pearl into a Crying Obsidian block. This Crying Obsidian then becomes the destination for portals created with that wand. A portal is formed by right-clicking above a Crying Obsidian block with the Portal Wand. Stepping into this portal teleports the player to the location where the wand was forged. Portals can be enlarged by adding more Crying Obsidian or Obsidian blocks around them in various shapes, and these additional blocks will also trigger teleportation. To destroy a portal, the Crying Obsidian block at its entrance must be broken, which also causes the original Ender Pearl to drop.
