MODVCFix is an addon designed to provide fixes for the Varied Commodities mod. Its primary purpose is to enhance functionality related to the Carpentry Bench. Key features include JEI compatibility, which creates a dedicated JEI section for the Carpentry Bench. This section displays recipes larger than the standard 3x3 but fitting within the bench's 4x4 grid, including those not originating from Varied Commodities itself. Users can add 4x4 recipes via normal CraftTweaker functions, and these will automatically appear in the Carpentry Bench recipe list. The JEI plugin allows users to view available recipes and auto-transfer items from their inventory into the crafting grid, similar to the vanilla crafting table.

The mod also implements several GUI fixes for the Carpentry Bench. Shift-clicking behavior has been corrected, prioritizing moving a clicked stack from the hotbar or inventory into the crafting grid. Exiting the GUI now ensures leftover items are returned to the player's inventory before being dropped. Additionally, the use of number keys within the Carpentry Bench GUI has been fixed to function normally. VCFix requires both FermiumBooter and JEI to operate.
