MODThe Gems Project is a Minecraft mod for Forge that enhances the game's progression. It introduces new ores like Topaz, Sapphire, and Ruby, found at y: 16 and below, which are rarer than diamonds and drop shards that must be combined into whole gems. These ores come in both stone and deepslate variants. Accessing many uses of Topaz, Sapphire, and Ruby requires Netherite equipment. The mod includes a jewelry system that utilizes the Curios API, allowing players to equip items independently for passive buffs corresponding to the gem used. Dragonyx is a rare, powerful material offering all bonuses of other gems plus unique effects like Lifesteal on weapons, increased Harvest Area for tools, and Max Health increases and void death prevention for armor. Obtaining a full set of Dragonyx equipment requires defeating the Ender Dragon multiple times. The mod also features Emerald equipment that provides Bonus XP with tools and increased Movement Speed and Hero of the Village with armor, as well as experience ore and 20 collectible fossils that serve as decorative blocks and an alternative source of bones.
