StopRendering Mod 1.20.1

MOD

StopRendering is a mod designed for client performance optimizations, specifically developed for the DeceasedCraft modpack. Its primary purpose is to address performance issues caused by other mods performing unnecessary client-side actions, particularly within DeceasedCraft. The mod aims to eliminate FPS microstutters that occur twenty times a second due to expensive client ticking by targeting specific fixes. Users will observe the most significant benefits when numerous living entities, potentially hundreds, are present for rendering.

The mod includes several toggleable features. It prevents the ArmorSetBonuses mod from calculating armor set bonuses for non-players every client tick. StopRendering also stops the Curios mod from rendering and client ticking on non-players, reducing associated overhead. Similarly, it prevents the Artifacts mod from client ticking on non-players and halts the Enhanced Hordes mod's unnecessary entity scanning on the client. Additionally, the mod disables extra render layers, beyond armor or custom heads, for Zombie-based entities.
