MODSplendid Slimes is a data-driven resource generation mod. Its core purpose is to allow players to feed various types of Splendid Slimes, which then produce Plorts upon reaching full growth. These Plorts can be processed into resources or transformed into Slime Hearts using a Slime Incubator to create more slimes. The mod also features Largo slimes, created by feeding two different types of slimes the Plort of the other type, which produce both kinds of Plorts. However, mixing a third Plort type will corrupt the slime into a Tarr.

The mod includes 19 default breeds of slimes, each possessing unique diets and behaviors, such as causing explosions, teleporting entities, or levitating nearby mobs. All default breeds can be crafted in a Plort Press using various resources or by combining two different Slime Hearts. The Slime Vac is available for collecting and deploying slimes, and for remote feeding. Rocket Pods can be crafted as an explosive movement option. The mod also supports complete customization, allowing players to create their own slime breeds with custom behaviors and resource outputs. It requires Jade or an equivalent for viewing Slime Diets and happiness, and JEI or an equivalent for recipe viewing and slime information.
