Realistic Sleep Mod 1.16.4–1.20.1
MODThe Realistic Sleep mod addresses the unrealistic game mechanic where sleeping instantly sets the time to morning by implementing actual time progression throughout the night. It offers three distinct methods for achieving this. The first two methods update TileEntities, player potion effects, and player health for sleeping players in the Overworld. The first method forcefully ticks vanilla-registered TileEntities at a reduced rate, applies potion effects at a 1:1 scale, and heals the player based on hunger. The second method functions similarly but ticks all TileEntities in loaded chunks, offering more precision at a slight performance cost.

The third and default method speeds up the entire Overworld to timelapse the night. This ensures that all in-game elements, including machines, plant growth, mob movement, and tree decay, are ticked faster. It also ticks potion effects and heals the player, consistent with the other methods. This mod is not compatible with mods that change the number of players required for sleep, such as Morpheus, or mods that alter the day/night cycle length.
