Progressive Mechanics Library Mod 1.20.1–1.20.3

MOD

The Progressive Mechanics Library is a library mod designed to enhance control over damage and combat mechanics for other mods. By default, it modifies the damage types for critical strikes to "pml:player_critical" and sweeping attacks to "pml:sweeping_damage", allowing for easier tracking of these attack types. It also introduces a system for mod developers to register and apply damage bonuses and reductions, integrating with the First Aid Mod for control over damaged body parts. This system processes damage values through stages, including raw base damage, weapon scaling, base bonuses, additional bonuses, and various reductions.

The damage calculation system supports flat and percentage-based bonuses, as well as reductions from armor, enchantments, and special mechanics. It also integrates with the First Aid mod by adding a `FirstAidHurtEvent`, which functions similarly to `LivingHurtEvent` but tracks damaged equipment slots. This event provides access to damage modification and a method to retrieve the damaged equipment slot, which is useful only when First Aid is present. The mod additionally addresses conflicting behavior issues with SpartanWeaponry, ensuring compatibility with other mods.
