Mob Tag Fixes Mod 1.21.1
MODMob Tag Fixes is a small NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that addresses an issue where modded mobs are often excluded from vanilla entity type tags. This exclusion prevents vanilla combat mechanics, such as Smite and Bane of Arthropods enchantments, and the healing/harming effects of potions, from properly affecting them. For example, a modded skeleton might not take extra damage from Smite or could be healed by a Potion of Healing, and a modded illager might be ignored during raids. The mod's purpose is to integrate these modded mobs into the correct vanilla tags, ensuring consistent combat behavior.

The mod works by extending vanilla entity type tags with relevant modded mobs, using soft entries that skip mods not present to avoid errors. It includes undead mobs from Iron's Spells, Born in Chaos, Alex's Mobs, and others; raiders like the Iron's Spells Archevoker; and arthropods from Alex's Mobs and Ars Nouveau. A per-mod configuration file (config/mob_tag_fixes-common.toml) allows users to toggle additions from specific mods or categorize groups of mobs. Individual entries can also be removed via datapacks. This mod is server-side only and compatible with existing worlds, requiring only NeoForge.
