This mod is designed to correct the described mending enchantment behavior. It requires Forge to function. The mod has been tested with specific Forge builds: #2588 for Minecraft version 1.11.2, #2618 for 1.12.2, #2051 for 1.9.4, and #2511 for 1.10.2. Mending Fix is also open source.
