FTB Backups is a lightweight, reliable world preservation mod developed by the Feed The Beast team to protect worlds from corruption and player mistakes. It runs scheduled automatic backups silently in the background, creating compressed zip archives without interrupting gameplay or generating chat spam.
The mod provides in-game commands to trigger manual backups, inspect total save sizes, and monitor remaining time until the next scheduled save. Server owners can configure retention limits, archive compression levels, and set backups to trigger only when active players are online.
