Dreamshift Mod 1.20.1
MODDreamshift is an atmospheric horror mod for Minecraft that introduces temporary Dreamspaces, which resemble dreamcore and liminal spaces. The mod focuses on the experience of encountering unexpected things, learning new rules, and finding a way back. It does not rely on a single monster or cheap jump scares and monster spawns. The horror derives from displacement, exploring non-existent locations, environmental storytelling, isolation, unique rules, unsafe exits, and worlds that feel temporary, abandoned, or self-aware. Some Dreamspaces are scripted, while others are non-scripted atmospheric worlds awaiting future events.

Players can enter Dreamspaces through unnatural, fragile openings called slippages, which appear in walls anywhere in the world. Alternatively, fractured tools, which appear after heavy usage of crafting tables, furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers, also provide a way to travel to Dreamspaces. Dreamspaces are individual dimensions, each possessing its own atmosphere, weather, time, events, sounds, buildings, and structure. On macOS devices, especially with Apple Silicon, and potentially older GPUs, Immersive Portals may show incorrect rendering when used with Iris shader packs; enabling "Legacy Mode" in the config is stated to resolve this issue.
