Deus Ex Machina: Reborn Mod 1.20.1–1.21.1

MOD

Deus Ex Machina: Reborn is a difficulty-scaling mod that assists players in overcoming challenging in-game bosses by providing advantages with each defeat. To activate its system, players must consume a Bottle of Ambrosia, which grants a permanent "Deus ex Machina" status effect that persists through death. This effect can be deactivated by drinking another Bottle of Ambrosia or a bucket of Milk. While active, the mod monitors combat performance against specified bosses, applying new advantages upon respawn after dying to a configured boss.

This effect can be deactivated by drinking another Bottle of Ambrosia or a bucket of Milk. While active, the mod monitors combat performance against specified bosses, applying new advantages upon respawn after dying to a configured boss.

These advantages include increased damage dealt to that specific boss and reduced damage taken from it, with bonuses stacking with every death. The mod tracks these bonuses, aiming to ensure eventual victory through persistence. Players can configure mob buffs using JSON files, specifying entity IDs or tags, minimum and maximum buff values, and the amount gained per death. Configurations can also define reset behavior upon killing a mob and whether buffs are shared across mob types or tracked individually, as exemplified by Warden in instance mode. Default configurations are provided for the Warden (instance mode), Wither, and Ender Dragon.
