Deadly End Phantoms Mod 1.14.4–1.16.5
MODDeadly End Phantoms introduces Specters, a new mob designed as the End's counterpart to Phantoms. These creatures relentlessly pursue flying players, diverging from the behavior of standard Phantoms. The primary purpose of this mod is to enhance the challenge of navigating the End, particularly when ascending End City structures, which can be trivialized by Shulker levitation in the base game. Specters spawn naturally in the End, independent of insomnia, unlike vanilla Phantoms, aiming to provide a consistent, manageable threat.

The mod offers configuration options to customize Specter spawning. Users can enable or disable their appearance in End Midlands and End Highlands, and fine-tune their spawn weight along with their minimum and maximum group spawn sizes. Additionally, the mod allows for the complete disabling of vanilla Phantoms, positioning Specters as the sole "Monster of the Night Skies." Specters are unable to detect players at ground level, even if armored, but can detect flying players, including those at End City heights.
