MODCS2 Box is a remastered version of CSGO Box, a mod enabling users to customize crate items. Crates are added through a configuration file. The mod includes a default crate with configurable elements such as the crate's name, the key for opening it, the items it contains, monster drop specifications and rates, and shipping rates. The visual editor organizes crate items by five rarities, with each row's slots indicating the maximum number of items for that rarity; gold slots can hold more. Users can input a crate name in a search box and click "Submit" to add content to the original JSON configuration. While saving item NBT data is optional, the original CSGO Box mod required CraftTweaker for reading NBT data. CS2 Box addresses an arbitrary item creation exploit, deserializes NBT without CraftTweaker, and separates configurations so each chest type uses one config file.
