MODCritter Armory adds armor for various mobs, including horses, wolves, cats, chickens, cows, and pigs. Work-in-progress armor for sheep is also mentioned. Armor can be equipped by right-clicking the mob and removed using shears. Each armor type features custom models tailored for every mob.

The mod also introduces Balanced Feed, which heals mobs by a configurable amount, with a default value of 6. Additionally, Vitality Feed increases a mob's maximum health by a configurable amount, defaulting to 6, up to a configurable maximum value of 30, while also fully restoring health. Critter Armory requires Fabric/Quilt and lists Mod Menu as an optional dependency.
