CHP: Core is a mod designed to introduce custom features into the Cave Horror Project. Its purpose is to augment the existing project rather than function as a standalone modification. Specific features include icons for quest rewards, an announcement regarding Cave Horror Project: Origins, and a welcome message. The mod also enables fortune enchantments on Ancient Debris and modifies the recipe for Netherite Ingots. A world-specific configuration is available for the From the Fog mod.

Further features added by CHP: Core include new items such as Torn Hide, Dweller Claw, and Fog Fragment, obtainable from either Cave Dweller or The Man From The Fog. It also introduces new craftable items, Dweller Boots and Fog Crystal, and an advancement for defeating a Cave Dweller. The mod explicitly states it is not suggested for use as a standalone mod, as its design is specifically to add custom features to the Cave Horror Project.
