Brute force Rendering Culling Mod 1.18.2–1.20.6

MOD

Brute force Rendering Culling is an optimization mod focused on rendering. It uses Hierarchical Z-Buffer Occlusion Culling to cull invisible chunks and entities that are not within the player's view, canceling their rendering submissions at the CPU stage. This reduces overhead in chunk compilation and rendering, aiming to improve rendering efficiency in mod packs with many blocks and entities. It can improve frame rates in environments with numerous occlusions, though not significantly in open vistas.

The mod requires a graphics card that supports OpenGL 3.3 for its entity culling functionality, specifically for GPU instantiation. Devices capable of running Sodium also support this feature. The mod uses GPU computation to alleviate CPU culling and chunk compilation overhead. The default key to open mod settings is "R", which can be reconfigured. It is compatible with Iris, Oculus, Nvidium, OptiFine, Sodium, and Embeddium. As of Minecraft version 1.20, Rubidium is no longer supported.
