BetterSleeping Revived Mod 1.17–1.20.4

MOD

BetterSleeping Revived is a mod that ports and rewrites the original BetterSleeping mod for Minecraft versions 1.17 and above. Its specific purpose is to enhance the sleeping mechanics in the game, providing native support for the 1.17 `playersSleepingPercentage` gamerule. Features include sleep recovery, which grants players regeneration for 15 seconds after sleeping through the night, and no-sleep debuffs, applied if a player skips three consecutive nights. These debuffs, which intensify with more skipped nights, can include Slowness, Weakness, Nausea, Mining Fatigue, and Blindness. Both the sleep recovery duration and the no-sleep debuff parameters are adjustable via the configuration.

The mod also implements configurable messages for player sleep events, skipped nights, and debuff notifications. These messages support various placeholders to display information such as the number of sleeping players, total players, and required percentages for skipping the night. Debuff messages can show the number of nights skipped. Message formatting can be customized using standard Minecraft colors and styles. The mod's configuration file, `bettersleeping.toml`, is located in the config folder. For single-player games, an in-game configuration menu is accessible through ModMenu.
