The development of Balkon's WeaponMod: Legacy began on February 17, 2024, and the port was completed in just over four months, by June 8, 2024. The developer worked on this project in their limited free time while also working full-time. The mod is presented as a direct port of the original "gem" of a mod, making its features consistent with the original game mod's offerings adapted for current Minecraft versions.
