Archaeology Banners Mod 1.20–26.3
MODArchaeology Banners introduces 20 new banner patterns. These patterns are based on the pottery sherds from the Trails and Tales update. Players can craft these patterns using shears, a pottery sherd, and paper at a crafting table. Wandering traders may also offer these patterns for trade. The mod's patterns function identically to vanilla patterns, requiring placement in a loom with a banner and dye.

For older Minecraft versions lacking pottery sherds, the patterns are obtainable exclusively through trading with the wandering trader. The mod allows configuration of wandering trader trades via the archaeologybanners.json file in the config folder. This configuration enables disabling specific trades or modifying their cost and other properties. A game restart is required for changes to take effect, and the config file generates after running the game with the mod installed once. Certain patterns, such as the sniffer pattern, offer multiple options in the loom for individual coloring of different parts of the base texture, with each subvariant acting as an independent and optional layer. A default single-color pattern is also included for every design.
