Combat in Twilight features dangerous but short fights; for instance, a tier-three Grimoire of Gaia mob can leave a player at half a heart even with full unenchanted diamond armor. Elite mobs, appearing rarely, drop materials otherwise unobtainable early on. Structure spacing is widened significantly compared to a default install. The pack includes machinery via Create and magic via Ars Nouveau, with neither requiring the other for progression. The only hard gate in the pack requires a Fiery Ingot from the Hydra to unlock Gobber's rings and medallions.
