MODPACKSkyrealm: Descent introduces a new dimension called the Skyrealm, which is currently available for public beta testing as Chapter 1: The Sky. The goal is to gather resources and upgrade gear while moving between sky islands, eventually descending into the Overworld below. The project's subsequent chapters, The Overworld and The Nether, are planned for August and September 2025, respectively, and are still in early development. The Overworld, described as a desolate and barren landscape, contains new hostile mobs, mushroom-based organisms underground, and Decayed Trees. Access to the Nether is achieved through Rifts that generate in the Overworld's bedrock floor, replacing traditional Nether Portals. The mod's broader purpose is to uncover a mystery across these dimensions.
