The mod offers repeatable quests for specific items and resources, including a Deathpage for teleportation to the last death location, Warp book & pages for copying warp pages received as rewards, and Killing & Turn in items for acquiring extra resources. HQM Hardcore mode now grants players two starting lives, with the potential to gain up to four total lives, preventing immediate world loss upon a single death. Overpowered items are balanced to be available only in late-game stages. The mod features the Darklands resource pack, and the "clouds-of-darkness-2-rp" resource pack is required.
