It helps improve overall performance and manage high load. The modpack preconfigures the default threads setting to 1, contrasting with the normal default of 10. This adjustment is intended to mitigate CPU overload and high TPS, though users can modify this setting in config/bigglobe/Big Globe.json5 to balance CPU consumption, TPS, and chunk loading speed as desired.
