The Better Rain pack aims to enhance the visual and auditory experience of rain in the game. It replaces the default rain sound with a more realistic sound pack and modifies rain textures to appear more natural. The mod also reduces the amount of rain displayed, which is stated to improve performance. Furthermore, it disables ground rain splash particles, another feature intended to drastically improve performance.

Specific features include enhanced textures for rain particles and splash particles, as well as adjustments to particle properties to make rain less obtrusive. The mod also modifies the color of rain and introduces player skin effects, such as water patches and tiny droplets on the player's skin when in rain. These player skin features do not require behavior packs and are fully covered by the resource pack. The mod is compatible with all other packs if placed above them and works on Android, iOS, and Windows devices with Minecraft Bedrock installed.
