MODAdvanced Dynamic Light enhances gameplay by adding real-time, dynamic lighting based on items players are holding. Its features include offhand support, configurable underwater lighting, and environment lighting for dropped items. Players can individually configure each item's light level and behaviors, and add custom items or blocks as light sources. Global settings allow control over offhand activation and a full reset.

Configuration is managed through a special item, the Advanced Dynamic Light Book, which provides access to all addon settings via form menus. For multiplayer, a server mode with operator permissions is available, where the first player to join becomes the Original Operator, able to manage other operators. The addon works in survival and creative modes, is compatible with other addons and achievements, and does not require experimental features. Both behavior and resource packs are required for proper function.
