DATAPACK

Tectonic is a world generation project that transforms terrain shaping in Minecraft. Its purpose is to create diverse and massive landforms, including continent-like landmasses, extensive mountain ranges, and deeper oceans. Continents span thousands to tens of thousands of blocks, while smaller islands up to a thousand blocks wide generate between them. Oceans are significantly deeper, with varied terrain in deep oceans, including overhangs and valleys. Mountain ranges can stretch for tens of thousands of blocks and approach the build limit, featuring underground rivers in towering areas.

Beyond its core terrain features, Tectonic introduces specific biome variations. Jungles can have massive pillars, badlands generate large canyons and isolated plateaus, and deserts feature smooth, rolling dunes. Towering 2-3 tiered plateaus may also appear, sometimes with smoother ramps. Some Cherry Groves and Pale Gardens are surrounded by plateaus, forming valleys. Forest, jungle, and taiga biomes can generate near sea level with frequent ponds and lakes. The mod version includes a config screen for feature editing and adds deeper generation for vanilla Ocean Monuments, increased glow lichen and rare lanterns in underground rivers, and a deeper variant of underground rivers with lava.
